Summer Meeting at Thames River Melons with Beekeeper Nathan TeBokkel

– Wax uses in hives
– Hands on hive inspections
– Brood diseases identification
– Mite programs and Oxalic vaporization
– Hive and nucleus components and honey supering
Food available to purchase from food truck or bring your own lunch.
Bring a lawn chair and bee veil
Hope the weather cooperates but come prepared.
Parking will be signed and directed.
Come to registration desk, get a name tag and a demo group number and then enjoy!
Thames River Melons rely on their honeybees to pollinate nearly everything they grow, from strawberries in the summer to pumpkins in the fall. Beekeeping is an important part of the farm.
