MEETING SCHEDULE
10:30-12:00 Beginner Beekeeping Beeyard Workshops (Optional)
– hive inspection
– monitoring for varroa mites, mite treatments and identifying common pests and diseases
Bring your veil or bee suit if you’d like to participate in the workshops. Please leave your gloves at home for biosecurity reasons.
12:00-1:00 BBQ Potluck Lunch
Friends, family, children, grandchildren welcome!
Burgers, hotdogs and drinks will be provided. Bring a side dish, salad or dessert.
RSVP with the number of people (children and adults) so we have enough food.
1:00-3:00
Information, social and activities for the kids.
Learn about Ferguson Apiaries, Buckfast queens and how Bill and his family have been raising bees in Huron county for 60 years.
What to Bring:
